The main challenge of PHM is to translate a set of disparate data such as temporal signals, Boolean or expert knowledge into anomaly detection, diagnosis and prognosis. Thus, PHM systems are particularly demanding in terms of data analysis. Data analysis skills are needed at different levels:

To extract relevant features from measured variables
To normalize the features
To perform anomaly detection on these features
To perform the classification of failure mechanisms from symptoms classification
To perform prognostics from the analysis of the historical data
To elaborate global diagnosis and prognosis from a fusion of local ones

In this context, we are looking for a data scientist whose mission will consist in:

Leadership role in the choice of approaches for:
Data mining to identify relevant information in multiple data sources
Signal processing to extract features
Statistical analysis to detect anomalies
Machine learning for the supervised classification of syndromes
Fusion algorithms to achieve global diagnosis and prognosis
Prototype development of data analysis algorithms and coding specifications
Bibliographical studies and technology intelligence to bring new opportunities.
