Job Description :

Responsibilities: 

The post holder will deliver our marketing strategy to grow the English business for British Council India, mainly online B2C and B2B training services (and any other delivered via BCEESIPL), through professional marketing expertise and execution. 

The role involves campaign development (online & offline), execution, measurement, continuous improvement to deliver effectiveness (desired impact) & efficiency (ROI).

Should have strong experience with Consumer brand marketing experience, with significant experience in developing digital campaigns 

Well versed with creating and executing Digital campaigns, from content to execution and analytics/monitoring 

Lead on creating and implementing marketing promotion plans and activity for English in BCEESIPL, with a focus on B to C segments. 

Provide marketing promotions and communications support for new and existing business development plans in order to achieve income, surplus and impact targets. 

Support marketing promotions and communications for all four principal strands of activity for the English business, as well as any additional product or service initiatives, through use of appropriate marketing and media planning, analysis, tools and initiatives. 

Contribute to the creation of a unified and efficient English business stream and to positive collaboration with Examinations colleagues and the wider British Council. 


MARKETING STRATEGY AND DEVELOPMENT:  

To support Head English Marketing to develop and deliver the annual English Marketing plans within the allocated budgets.

To support the development of the National Marketing Action Plan, including targets, key activities, budgets, timelines and KPIs for all English products for both B2C and B2B business for the annual Business Review.

Support in the management of the marketing mix for English language services to ensure that the set business and quality targets are met.

Ensure that marketing strategy and implementation increases brand equity and meets business targets.

Implement the agreed online and offline strategy for English to increase impact across the business and audience targets.

RESEARCH, MONITORING AND ANALYSIS: 

To apply digital/social media insights, consumer and competitor insights and other market information into campaign planning and execution.

Use appropriate marketing and business analysis tools and market information to identify and report opportunities for marketing campaigns, services and distribution channels that will lead to business growth. Support data led business decision making.

To analyze and evaluate actual customer experience against expectations using feedback, bench marking and management information and to act on the results.

To set in place monitoring and evaluation parameters against each project, campaign and spend, and to report results against the same on a regular basis.


CAMPAIGN AND CONTENT PLANNING, EXECUTION AND EVALUATION: 

To develop and manage effective marketing campaigns to drive both conversion and engagement on various marketing channels (especially digital channels), including setting KPIs, content development and execution, and monitoring via analytics and relevant tools

To help develop a content marketing and consumer engagement strategy and implement it.

To develop and launch digital and influence (online + offline) campaigns in line with core objectives, targets, budgets and timelines and set up KPIs for the same

To comply with brand guidelines.

BUDGETING AND FINANCIAL ANALYSIS: 

To monitor annual marketing budgets for the English business unit.

To set ROI KPIs for each project as required to achieve targets, and measure and rectify as needed

TEAM MANAGEMENT: 

To be an integral part of the English and the marketing teams, working closely with non- English Marketing colleagues to encourage and implement cross SBU collaboration and holistic working.

Lead and support the development of the marketing team, line manage as required, and provide support and advice to the wider English team on areas pertaining to marketing and communication.
