Job Description :

Responsibilities: 

The purpose of this post is to lead on the business delivery of English services in India with a focus on finance, systems and resource management.

Lead on business delivery and sales/customer management of new and existing business for all English products and services to reach income and surplus targets.

Management of operations, systems and resources to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience and provide operational support to ensure that our courses are delivered as per agreed Service Level Agreements.

Manage freelance Training Consultants to support effective and efficient delivery and implementation of English courses and training programs.

Sales and Customer Management: 

Up-sell English language services to customers at all stages of the customer acquisition process through tele sales and SMS as well as online channels such as email and web;

Deliver to team and individual targets on sales conversion and customer acquisition;

Contribute to effective customer management and creating customer delight by proactively anticipating customer needs and addressing them and ensure that all staff are equipped to handle English products and services related inquiries. Contribute to a high customer satisfaction scorecard and NPS;

Provide on-course support to students to assist in successful course completion, high customer satisfaction, high re-enrollment rates and positive word of mouth;

Leverage corporate and other B2B relationships to contribute to sponsored students;

Support Senior Manager in roster management of sales and customer management team. Work with Senior Manager to monitor team performance on sales to ensure we meet sales quality standards and targets. Identify ways to improve performance and conversion rates;

Operations, Systems and Resource Management: 

Liaise with global support teams regarding financial issues related enrollment and learner management systems, and other customer management systems and seek resolution. Support in management of operational systems such as payment and registration systems and SAP as well as course platforms.

Develop and manage a system for the accurate monitoring of freelance contract records in line with All-India processes

Support opportunities for integration within the English Strategic Business Unit (ESBU) and across British Council activity streams

Responsible for compliant and secure storage of all required inventory, data and materials

Support procurement process, vendor management and customer creation on SAP, including purchase order creation, goods receipt, processing claims, sales orders, vendor and customer creation as per British Council standards.

Finance: 

Carry out operational financial processes such as income accruals and deferrals, reconciliations, debtor management, freelancer payroll, accurate line item posting, journaling, refunds and credits.

Manage a payment system for freelance staff recourses for the English language businesses and ensure payments are approved and reconciled with contracts and letters of agreement.

Report on income, expenditure, volume and metrics.

Managing teams:

Line management of a maximum of up to two direct reports and of temporary staff as required.

Ensure HR procedures and standards are adhered and applied consistently. British Council performance management procedures and standards used to induct, manage and develop staff members, and to evaluate performance.
