Job Description :
Mainframe system administration and system programming services. System administrator/ programmer monitors and controls the operation of the mainframe packages. Mainframe Support Services section for a list of packages:
-Perform enhancement and modification as per the requirements.
-Design logical and physical architecture.
-Work with application team for problem resolution or performance tuning efforts
-Provide assistance to associates to resolve technical issues, document and implement best
practices
-Take the lead in investigating, resolving and providing root cause analysis
-Perform system tasks
-Start and stop subsystem tasks, ensure the normal operation of the subsystems
-Start and stop the major subsystems, such as transaction processing systems.
-CICS definition requests
-MQ definition requests
-CICS failure incident resolution
-MQ failure incident resolution
-Incident resolution for Panvalet, Rexx or other custom built tools panels
-VSAM/ IDCAMS definition or maintenance requests
-PANVALET source management and panels setup/ configuration.
-Other task relating to packages listed in Appendix A
-Support production, test and QA instances
-Identify and recommend best practices to support business needs
-Work with mainframe support staff to ensure CLIENT is on latest fix pack / product versions
-Take lead in coordinating with applications team to ensure smooth migration to new
versions
-Perform system analysis as needed
-Develop code as needed to support organization
